Hi, Kathryn.

Yes, George Washington is descended from Frances Dymoke, the sister of Arthur Dymoke, who is the great-great-grandfather of Thankful Dimmock. George Washington is seven generations descended from Sir Edward Dymoke, the father of Arthur and Frances (and thus the common ancestor of Thankful and George). So, Thankful is five generations descended from Sir Edward Dymoke. Edward Waldo was the husband of Thankful Dimmock, so it sounds like you are seven generations down from Thankful, making you 12 generations from Sir Edward. That makes you George Washington's sixth cousin, five times removed. (Does that make sense?)
