Dear Victor: Thank you and moving on. Is Mary Bartlett's(daughter of Pauline) middle name actually Olive? I have seen it stated only as the middle initial E. I assume then that the E. information is incorrect?

The 1900 census shows Olive living in Parkersburg, with daughter Eva Bartlett, born in January 1847. Olive as widow, nine children born to her: five still living. So I can account for only two children. Her son John B. Bartlett born Dec. 01, 1849.

Serendipity on the two Mary Olives or just a real mess:
The names are nearly identical and birth years identical. Is this the same person and Allen actually Sterling Allen?

Ok, I will not speculate..as I know so little about this family. Do you have census records for years 1860-1890 for
my Olive and Sterling? Or know anyone who has them?

I shall wait for whatever information you can provide as you
find time. Wish I had something to offer in exchange at present. Thanks! Rachel
