I am a descendant of John and Jemima Waldo of Harrison County. Their son John J. was my ancestor. His daughter Jemima who married William Gifford was my great-grandfather. There was a Catherine Patton who was a descendant of the son Jedediah. She owned the Waldo farm north of Bridgeport, but she had no children. I was told that upon her death she was leaving the Waldo farm to the Univ. of WV at Morgantown. I assumed that she would have also planned to leave the old Waldo Bible (that belonged to John and Jemima) to the university too, but I recently learned that all of her historic papers after her death were auctioned off. Do you know who bought the Waldo Bible? I would so much like to have a copy of the family information in it.
