Cornelius Waldo and the Ship Increase
Posted by: Lynnette Stewart (ID *****5529) Date: March 20, 2003 at 08:36:18

I'm trying to occupy my mind with a few pleasant diversions today due to the upsetting occurrences in the world and was hoping someone could help me with something I have wondered about for years.

Many years ago, I was doing some research at the Illinois State Historical Library and ran across a passenger list for the ship "Increase" with Cornelius Waldo listed as a passenger and also a "Thomas Waldo" (I think). Was this his brother? I haven't been able to locate this passenger list since and didn't make a notation as to which book I located it in. I just made a notatation on a piece of paper of the ship's name and the names "Cornelius and Thomas Waldo". It think it listed their addresses as "Honey Street" or "Bread Lane", (something similar to that) in London. I just thought maybe some Waldo family member might have this information I haven't been able to locate in so many years.

Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give me.
