I'm not a WALDO researcher, but will share this data from my 1891 "Biographical History of Pottawattamie Co, Iowa." A bio for MRS. MARY A. WALDO (b. Windham Co, VT, Dec 24, 1829, daughter of George W. and Mary (Randall) Allen. MARY A. ALLEN married to ASA BERRY WALDO, on November 8, 1849. ASA WALDO was born in Ackworth, NH, April 1823. He was a blacksmith for two years, then came West and joined the Mormons at Nauvoo. He left the Mormons in Council Bluffs, Iowa (Kanesville) while at Winter Quarters, and he returned to VT, resuming his trade; soon after his marriage, he settled in Keene, NH. Two years later, spring 1852, he came west again at the time of the emigration of thee Mormons across the plains. He settled in Baraboo, Wisconsin, for 8 years, then in 1871 settled in Crescent City, Iowa, and opened a busines which he continued until his death on Feb 5, 1853. Mr and Mrs Waldo had children: Flora A. and Orpha E., both deceased; Aden M., b. Oct 19, 1854 and residing in Omaha; Orpha E.(2) residing in Mills county, Iowa, b. Feb 17, 1859; and Edwin P. and Carrie C. both deceased." END I hope this info is helpful to someone.
