Bessie Waldo Daniels Allison and RMS Titanic
Posted by: Shannon Coffey (ID *****9489) Date: December 29, 2006 at 17:15:52

I just visited the Titanic Exhibit in Atlanta, GA, today and discovered that there was a Bessie Waldo Daniels Allison on board. She may be remembered as the mother of the baby who was "rescued" or perhaps kidnapped by the family nurse, while Bessie and her husband searched everywhere until it was too late to save themselves and their other child. Her middle name would suggest that she was a Waldo--perhaps her mother's maiden name? Online searches revealed that she was born in Wisconsin but was listed as being Canadian or returning to her home in Canada. Does anyone know about the Waldo connection and is she perhaps a descendant of Cornelius Waldo? Please reply to SECOFFEY@BELLSOUTH.NET. Thank you!! Shannon
