My wife Susan descends from George V Waldron (Mich) the son of George W Waldron (NY). George W. served in the Union Army during the Civil was and we have two pictures of him in his uniform. Writing on the back of one of the photos with a lady who we assume to be his wife say George W. and Metta Waldron. We know from newspaper articles about his death in Mich, that George V. was the only living descendant of Daniel G. Quackenboss of upstate New York. In the articles, Daniel is identified a the sheriff of Cattaraugus county. That's about all we know. Does this connect in any way?
