Gaye

From the National Archives site mentioned in my last message:

I think this is might be the will of the Lady Mary West (nee Wynyard) who was married to John West (de la Warr) (1721-1777). I just keyed-in Surname=WEST and OtherKeyword=Lady ... and ....bingo ....!

Will of The Right Honorable, Lady Mary West, Widow of Somerset Street, Middlesex 27 March 1783 PROB 11/1102
Worth checking, anyway.

I think the will of her father, John Wynyard, d.1752 may also be on the NA database ... Over to you ...

How fascinating to have something passed down through the generations, both something tangible and the story. Hope it turns out to have some truth in it!
Good luck with it all!

Sonia
