I think you are right.
On the family tree I had before you sent the information to Paul(my father) in MI, the name listed was Briget Honora Geary. I looked again at yours, and it was much more backed up. Honora Geary was listed, middle name unknown.
I'm trying to trace it before Stephen John if possible. I found a little bit in Ireland, but not much. I don't know if you have this or not.
National archives is a good site. http://www.nationalarchives.iehttp://www.nationalarchives.ie
http://www.nationalarchives.ie/search01.htmlhttp://www.nationalarchives.ie/search01.html has a list of people deported to Australia from 1788-1968.
I found three Wholihans, John, Phillip, and William(Two in Cork, one from Leitrum) and one Daniel Wholohan(also from Cork). I also found John Wholahan from county Cork.
Unfortunatly, I'm a college student and don't have at this time enough money or time to go to Ireland unless I'm lucky enough to get into an Irish study abroad program, which isn't likely for telecom majors. If I go, and find out anything there, or if I find something online I'll let you know.
