Johnnie, The only thing that I have been able to find on Jonh Walraven, Sr in the Rev War is the following:
12.John Walraven,Sr. is listedasserved under Lt. Col. Jenkins Davis in 1782 at Ebeneezer Church on the Savannah River.See Georgia Pioneer Genealogical Magazine, Vol. 14, Nov. 4, 1977.Second Battalion 1777 - 1783,Georgia Militia.
13. John Walravenis listedon page 87 of "Georgia Citizens and Soldiers of the American Revolution"by Robert S. Davis, Jr.Souther Histroical Press % The Rev. S. Emmett Lucas, Jr.P. O. Box738 Easley, South Carolina 29640.
It states: State of Georgia 1778
To Jenkins Davis's Company of Melitia {sic} for duty done at Magazine of Ebenezer from the 11th to the 21st March and Rations. His name is mispelled it statesJohn Waldaver insteadof John Walraven
Where did you find the information that John Walraveen of Va took a message from the Governor of Va to the Governor of Ga.1774?
I would like a copy of it.
The DAR will share their information, all you have to do is send for it. The DAR an I have been debating, over the John Walraven in Va. and the John Walraven in Ga. for over a year,I have just sent them about 200 pages of information on John Walraven in Ga again showing that he was in Georgia before the war and was here after the war.It will take them another 4 months before I hear from them. As for all of your other question, I don't know the answer to them, I just wish that I could prove that they are the same, but at this time I can't. We will just have to keep looking.
