I've been digging back through some of my research notes and found that I still have where I was copying names from the book, 1870 Mississippi Census by Jackson. Later, as I was going through the rolls, I made a notation of which were black families. "Wobington" was a frequent mispelling for Warbington. Although some are said to have been "Washington", who knows--it might have been a mispelling also:
Washington, Andrew-Lauderdale Co.-pg. 155
Washington, Geo.-Lauderdale Co.-pg. 109
Washington, John-Lauderdale Co.-pg. 021
Washington, John-Lauderdale Co.-pg. 058
Washington, Mary-Lauderdale Co.-pg. 018
Washington, Tony-Lauderdale Co.-pg. 108
Wobington, Alexander-Lauderdale Co.-pg. 071
Wobington, Henry-Lauderdale Co.-pg. 104
Wobington, Mary-Lauderdale Co.-pg. 017
Wobington, Ned-Lauderdale Co.-pg. 097
Wobington, Thurber-Lauderdale Co.-pg. 071
