Am trying to find out some information on the Swifts Detachment, New York vols. Am looking for information on John Rorabeck, he was a member and found him in the Index of Awards on Claims of the War of 1812, he was in Cuyahoga County Ohio. I am hoping there is a way of finding out where he might have enlisted and where he might have come from. Just know he was born in New York from census records.
Appreciate any suggestions that some one might have, have been unsuccessful so far.
