Alexis,

Lewis Riggins was in the regular army. He served in Captain Benjamin Johnson's company (no relationship) of the 2nd Regiment of U.S. Rifles. This regiment was formed in Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee. The regiment was assigned to Fort Detroit.

The only Dauphin County that I found was in Pennsylvania. Captain Johnson raised his company in Kentucky.

I hope this helps you!

Eric Johnson
