hi, my grandmother was born daisy wass, i'm not sure where she was actually born but she used to speak of meeting her father from work to walk home to pleasley nr mansfield and also of a family connection to creswell in derbyshire, she was born in 1903, her twin was either stillborn or died shortly after birth. she had lots of brothers and sister which i will now list, Annie wass who was also a twin (twin again died at or shortly after birth)she was about a year older than my grandmother so born 1901 - 1902, robert wass, mary wass, sarah wass, francis wass, gladys wass, jack wass, gersh wass (may have been short for gershwin)and there was another set of twins who both died at birth. my son in law thinks he has found a direct link to samuel wass and elizabeth ludlam of south wingfield but we have yet to confirm this, when i do i will post a full breakdown of how the families connect. hope this helps and feel free to email me if you have any queries
Sue
