My name is Charles (Chuck) Watterson and Charles Lumpkin Watterson was my Grandfather. I was just looking through a family bible and discovered some information about both Iva Lee Robinson and Charles Lumpkin Watterson. According to records my mother collected this is what I have:
Mother of Charles Lumpkin--Elesibeth Harriet Watterson, born March 30, 1853 and died Aug 7, 1937.
Charles Lumpkin Watterson-Born 16 Jan 1872(3) and Died 23 June 1945 in Earlimart California.
----------------------------------------------------------
Father of Iva Lee (Robinson) Watterson--W.N. Robinson.
Mother of Iva Lee (Robinson) Watterson--C.H. (Parsons) Robinson.
They were married in Cooke County TX on 8 June 1890.
Iva Lee (Robinson) Watterson-Born 26 Jul 1892(3) and Died 8 Feb 1958.
----------------------------------------------------------
Iva Lee Robinson and Charles Lumpkin Watterson were married on 29 Sept 1917.
I know of at least 9 children of which 2 are from Iva's previous marriage.
---------------------------------------------------
I live in TX but most of my father's family live, or lived, in California. I remember my aunts and uncles speak of distant relatives in OK, TX and AL too but I have no information.
Hope this is in the ball park. I just retired after 27 years in the US Air Force so I now have time to devote to this interesting endeavor.By the way...does this make us cousins once removed or something like that?
