My immediate family is all I know for certain, i.e. myself born in Kansas City in 1937, my father born in Granby 1907 and my Grandfather born in "who knows where" but I suspect Kansas or Colorado and I don't have his birthdate with me here in Florida. The other information I have is from the research Denis Waughtal's father developed years ago which shows a tree going back to the early 1700's to a gentleman who spelled his name Wachtel located in York, Pa. His only son had three sons who changed there names ( for what reason I have no idea) to: 2 to Waughtal and one to Waughtel.

I won't have access to this information until May when I return to Delaware. At that time I can be more explicit. This is all very intriguing to me especially since I have noticed in my recent research on the internet so many Waughtal's, el's, ell's etc.

Where are your people from?

By the way we could communicate easier directly by email if you think that is wise. My address is Walktall@home.com just in case.

Thanks, Dick
