My great grandmother's name was MARY ELIZABETH WACHTEL, but I was advised to post her name in the Waughtel Family Genealogy Forum as well, since the spelling of the last name can vary. She was born on November 8, 1876 in Alton Illinois,married Willet Creed on May 14, 1892, they had 9 children together. They moved to Pasadena, California between 1901 and 1904, and Mary Elizabeth Wachtel Creed died on August 7, 1961. Her father's name was John Wachtel, and her mother wasMary E. Lemke Wachtel, both of Illinois. If anyone has any information about this side of the Wachtel family, I'd enjoy hearing from you.
