Anna Alice Massey Waycaster
Bandy, VA - Mrs. Anna Alice Massey Waycaster, 82, of Bandy, died Saturday, September 15, 2001 in a Richlands hospital following an illness of several months.
Born in Clearcreek, she was a daughter of the late Edmond Massey and Minnie Ewings Massey, both West Virginia natives.She was a former supervisor for Bobbie Brooks in Cleveland, OH, and a nurse's aide in Ohio and Virginia.She had made her home in the Bandy area the past 18 years and was of the Freewill Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse W. Waycaster, one son, Danny Waycaster, one grandchild, Cathy Ann Mader, one sister, Frances Evans, and three brothers, Sherman Massey, Buddy Butler, and Barney Massey.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Denise White of Jewell Ridge, VA, and Mrs. Dinah Wright of Bandy, two sons, David Eugene Waycaster of Columbus, OH, and Paul Roger Waycaster of Cleveland, OH, one sister, Mrs. Edith Chappell of Galax, VA, two brothers, James Butler of Green Acres, WA, and Howard Massey of Chattanooga, TN, seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 1 PM at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands with the Rev. Sammy C. Barnett officiating.Interment will follow in the Whittaker Ridge Cemetery on Whittaker Ridge near Bandy.
Relatives and friends will be pallbearers.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 PM Monday.
