I am researching Lucy ? who died in 1603 in Hackington, Kent. Her first husband was Edward Wayland a scrivner in London who died about 1551 in London. There were apparently two surviving children, Henry and Edmond. Her second husband (my ancestor) was Lewis Stockett, who was head of public works for Elizabeth I.A memorial to Lucy contains her arms impaled with Stockett.
Her arms are either Marwood or Beane and they are quartered with Bavant or Bennett. All of these families are from the north of England (Yorkshire and Norfolk) and London. Her Stockett children's arms use the quarterings indicating she was an armorial heiress. Lucy's Wayland descendants would be entitled to the same quarterings.By any chance would you be descended from Lucy and Edward or have any data on them?
