What about these Wier's?Any connection to your research?
William Wier,SR., born in Holland in 1728, served in Rev. War in Cumberland Co. PA., possibly a part that became Franklin Co. later; married Elizabeth. Daughter Janet (Jenny, born about 1760 in Cumberland Co., PA, married John Ferguson SR. in 1786, and later that year resettled in Washington Co. PA. Possibly the parents moved there too. Janet (Wier)Ferguson had four children with John Ferguson, later resettling after War of 1812 in Highland Co., OH, where she died in 1841.
I need more info on the Wier family of Cumberland/Franklin Co., PA., other siblings, descendants, parentage, origin in Holland, etc. William Wier supposedly had a DAR Patriot application pending early in the 1900's by one of his descendants, but not sure if it was certified.
