Hi, Marynelle.
Just recently discovered I'm descended from Gov. John Webster through my mother's family (same as your husband's through Friend Webster):
Robert Webster m. Susannah Treat
Johnathan Webster m. Mary Judd
Benjamin Webster m. Elizabeth Peck
Charles Webster m. Rhoda Kilbourn
Friend Webster m. Philena Brown
Robert Ransom Webster m. Amelia McMillan
Charles Albert Webster m. Clara Messenger
Frances (Fannie) Amelia Webster m. William James Van Hooser
Ruth Alberta Van Hooser (my mother)
My great-great grandfather Robert Ransom Webster was the brother of your John Taylor Webster, son of Friend Webster. I recently found the "History and Genealogy of Gov. John Webster" book in a library and learned a little about Robert Ransom and Friend Webster. I thought it was fascinating (and sad) about Friend and Philena dying a few days apart from typhus and the sons being farmed out to various trades (my Robert Ransom W. became a cooper). I'd be interested in knowing if your husband has any stories about John Taylor Webster. Any photos?
I have one photo of Robert Ransom (1807/8-1893) and several of his son Charles Albert:

Hoping someday to find someone else descended from Charles Albert and Clara Messenger. I have some mysteries about Clara that I'd love to have solved.
