Hi Tisha,I have recently been to see G-Uncle Otto. And have found out that g-Grandpa Michael Weichmann was born to Johan "John" Weichmann (B: 5/28/1846-Donauworth Bavaria)(D: 12/21/1912-Buffalo), and Elizabeth Meyer Weichmann (B: 10/25/1860-Schwandorf Germany) (D:10/14/1915-Buffalo).They came to NY between 1881 and 1885.Johan was not naturalized until 9/24/1888 though.Johan ran a couple of saloons, and I think a boarding house.I have recently obtained a picture of them in front of one of their saloons, which also has a bowling alley in it.
They are both buried in Pine Hill Cemetery, which I went to the other day and found there graves, along with some other family members and inlaws.
Johan and Elizabeth had 14 children that Otto and Jean can find documentation for, but they believe there may be more. The first child was born in 1881 and the last (a set of twins) was born in 1901.The children in order go
Joseph, Elizabeth, Michael(G-Grandpa), Anna, John, George, Margarate, Jacob, Jacob, Mathew, Sophie, Julius, KuniGunda, and Frances (Kuni and Frances are twins).
Margarate, both Jacobs, Julius and KuniGunda all died within the first year of their lives. These children are all buried at Pine Hill Cemetery in Cheektowaga too.In the same plot as Johan and Elizabeth.
I have the dates and some information on some of the spouses for these siblings of our g-grandpa Mike too.Can you email me with your email address so I can forward this info onto you? Also I was wondering if you could fill me in on some of the dates for your immediate family, births, marriages, places etc....?thanks and have a good week.Talk to you later....
