Brenda, I am researchingSouthern Whitney's from the Carolina's.There where not that many there, so I'm thinking Isham may be connected to my Nancy Whitney, she being born around early 1800.She was in Lincoln County and Burke County then went to KY sometime after 1830, she had a son in KY? ABT 1840-1841.I too have hit a very solid wall.I know that she married her first husband 1824 in Licoln, then her second husband 1828 Burke. She marrid my 3rd ggrandfather Eliah Jackson.I think that her father may have been Ransom Whitney who also disappeared from NC around or after the 1830 census. There was an Ebenezer Whitney from Wayne Co who also lived in Burke CO.The Whitney's date back to 1779 (Ebenezer) in NC. Counties from Craven, Pasquotank, Smpson, Hyde and Wilkes.
