ALL,

Might anyone have any information on an Elijah Whitney who came to America and fought against the British during the Revolutionary War.

The following is a record given to my father from his mother;

"Record of the Whitney family as told me by
my mother, (recalled) called from a piece of paper
kept in the family Bible many years.

Elijah Whitney came from England near the opening of
the Revolution. Settled in Massachussett's.
Served 7 years in the Revolution. Became Captain.

His children:
Ebenezer (CA 1771), Samuel, Joshua (CA 1782) - first wifes children.
Elijah, Joseph - Second wifes children.

Joshua Whitney married Polly Clark (M. 1809 - Nelson, NY)
children: Eliphalet, Clark, Elbridge, Hiram, James, Amy, Algina & Eben."

As you can read some family information is given but I have a lot of questions.

Does this Elijah Whitney or his children names strike a cord with anyone?

Thanks,

DEW
