Hi,
In the 1910 census Addis whitney shows as being married only once while his wife Elizabeth show as married twice.
In Aug 1887, Norwood Paper, Saint Lawrence county Addis M Whitney left to take a job in Deluth Mn. Feb 1887 he was at a dance in saint lawrence county. In Oct 1903 married in Ma.
Aug 1884 he was again listed in the Saint Lawrence paper in the social section as "being seen" along with others. The papers will not let me copy the sections. For further information check out www.usgenweb.com/ny choose saint lawrence county go to to northern new york newspapers choose st lawrence.
There is another person known as Addis E Whitney who was a soldier out west. Are you sure the St. Lawrence Whitney is the one you are looking for? If so do you have a male whitney relative whom you could do a dna test which may help the wiki.whitneygen site also lists dna from various whitneys. FYI. My whitney is from the Saint Lawrence County whitneys and I am trying to track down his parents. Good luck. Terry
