Whyman, Whymant, Whyment, Wymant, Wymont, Wimont
Recent research is convincing me that my Henry and Anne/Hester Whyman were actually Henry and Anne Whymant/Wymant/Wymont, who lived at Little Bowden Lodge, Little Bowden, Leicestershire, ENG, in the early 1800s.I have found Henry and Anne Wymant as the parents of:
Ann, b. 02 Aug 1812
Eliza, b. 14 Apr 1814
Henry, b. 27 Jul 1817
Maria, b. 03 Oct 1819
I found all but Ann in IGIs on the LDS site, but Pam, in ENG, found all four in the baptisms of Little Bowden Lodge.
And I found in an IGI, Henry and Anne Wymont, of Great Bowden, Leicestershire, with these twins, born at Little Bowden Lodge:
Mary and Martha, b. 26 Nov 1807
All of these names are names of siblings of my GGgrandfather Charles Addison Whyman.Additionally, he had siblings, William, b. 1806, Sarah, Esther and Charlotte.
I'm hypothesizing that Henry and Anne Whyman/Wymant/Wymont lived at Little Bowden Lodge, Little Bowden, Leicestershire, from at least 1807 to 1819, and later moved to Great Bowden, Leicestershire, which is located adjacent to Little Bowden.Charles Addison Whyman, according to my family history, was born in Great Bowden, in 1827.
Does anyone have anything on Whymans being Wymants,Wymonts,Whymants, Whyments, Wimants, Wimonts?I'd love some input on my findings.
