Can., Scottish minister, 1930s
My great-Grandfather was a Scottish Minister in northern Ontario, Canada sometime during the 1920s + 30s, his son, my grandfather, fathered an child outside of marriage in the early 30s. My mother, Margarite Evelyn, was born in 1933 in Kapiskasing in northern ontario and was later adopted by a family in Kap. She never knew her father except that his name was Whyte, that his father was a Scottish minister and that he himself worked as a journalist in Montreal during some part of his life. My mother was raised by a man who adored her and had no interest in her natural father but I've always wondered about the Whyte family of which I am a part, though not officially, and with her death recently, I feel free to find out what I can. Does anyone know anything about 'my' family? Any information would be appreciated. Many thanks.
