I am seeking information on two Swedish Brothers who lived in Thorp Clark Co. Wisconsin in 1899
First brother Johan Gustave Dussin Johansson who changed
his last name to Elmsted when he emmigrated. He had two children named Magdalene Elmstedt and Carl Elmsted. Johan is listed a a farmer in Thorp in the year 1899.

Second Brother Knut Fredrick Johansson who's children are also listed with the last name Elmstedt so must also have changed his name. Suspect that he may have lived in Odanah, Ashland, County in 1909 and possibly moved to Thorp after that. Knut had 2 children Twede Elmstedt and Eric Elmsted.

I found a notation in a 2003 Thorp Courier of a Carl Elmest age 79 who passed away in Thorp on June 17 10 years prior so I suppose 1993.

Anyone heard of any Elmstedts in the Thorp area?
