Old wills, Clark co. Where??

Have been getting nowhere regarding finding where the old wills are for Clark co. residents. The courthouse at Neillsville says they are at the State Historical Society. The Historical Society denies and says they are at the court house. Also there are noncirculating records at the LDS in Salt Lake City, Utah. Which doesn't help as I live in Eau Claire, Wi. The will does exist as there is a page and file number on record, as well as the death certif. at Neilsville. Would there be archivbal records at a University or local Historical Society? I'm hoping for a random act of genealogical kindness. Thanks in advance. Please email me in person at: feathrs@webtv.net
