Am looking for information on my great, great aunt and uncle, Jake and Gertrude (ERPENBERG/ERPEMBACH) WALTER. Am posting here hoping descendents of Gertrude's family can shed some light for me. Gertrude's obituary in 1945 in Park Falls, WI, lists these visitors: Mr. and Mrs. Anton ERPEMBACH and Peter ERPEMBACH of Neilsville. On Gertrude and Jake's marriage registration in May of 1893, La Crosse Cty, WI, her maiden name is listed as ERPENBERG. I'd like to know the scoop on the different surnames or anything about these families. Jake and Gertrude's children both died without issue in the early 1900s so this is one of my dead ends.
