John SCHNEIDER b. 1809 Almensdorf, Germany was married to Theresa CORPSTEIN (date unknown bef. 1844) and had the following children: Joseph SCHNEIDER b. 28 Aug. 1844, Almensdorf, Germany; Mary SCHNEIDER b. 8 Sept. 1845, Almensdorf, Germany; Elizabeth "Lizzie" SCHNEIDER b. @1856
Schoenwalde, Germany. Unknown as to when they came to the U.S.A. (Would like to have some documented proof)
John SCHNEIDER d. 7 March 1879; buried St. Patrick's Cemetery. Son Joseph arrived in Saline Co., KS in 1869 and homesteaded; married Elizabeth Hamer in 1871 and they had 10 children - 8 of whom survived to adulthood. Dau. Mary Schneider married TOBIN and remained in Beaver Dam, Dodge Co., WI. Dau. "Lizzie" SCHNEIDER came to KS with mother Theresa and she married Andrew BERTLES in 1872 in Saline Co., KS.; later moved with their family (2 daughters) to Pomona, MO @ 1892.
Would like to find a death (obituary) for John SCHNEIDER and also if he had siblings.(Have a copy of his will)
SCHNEIDER Family celebrated 133 yrs. of homesteading in 2002, Salina, Saline Co., KS Have much info to share if you are related.
