William worked his way to USA on a steam & sail ship. When financially able he arranged passage for his family. I supect he avoided customs (changed his name) and headed for WI where a job had been promsed and probably arranged by David Williams, a relative. Two mor children were added to the family: Eunice Jane, b. 2 Nov 1871 & Hannah, b. 12 Mar 1874. William & family migrated to Chautauqua Co., KS. where he followed his craft. In 1899 they learned that William, b. 1869 had been murdered in Wyoming. Their other children had been m. by that time and William & Eunice retired moveing to Arkansas City, KS. Brothers Moses and Joseph had taken advantage of the land run to Oklahoma in 1889 and established farm in Logan Co., OT. Jane Roberts, sister of Eunice (Roberts) Williams m. William E. Hughes, b. 1849 Bradfordd, Angelesy, WAles. They lived for many years in Winona, MI where both died. I am attempting to identify the realtionship between William Williams and David Williams.
