I'm hoping to locate any descendants of the Schaaf family who lived in Dunn County, Wisconsin in the late 1800s. My grandfather, William Schaaf, came from this area before settling in Seattle, WA. I have reason to believe (but am not certain) that from the 1870 Federal Census records, my great-grandfather may have also been William Schaaf, (from Baden, Germany) married to Mary; their children being Catherine, Michael, Sophia, and George.
