I am seeking information on the parents of Julia and Mary Bernard (Bernart) According to the obit for Mary,her parents were John and Anna Bernart while her death record states her father to be John Bernart (born in Poland) with mother as unknown.The same obit states she was preceded in death by two brothers - Frank and Jack Bernart. Mary was born in Berlin, WI in 1870 (the 1900 census states 1873), and her sister Julia is also listed as being born at this time. Mary Bernart married Frank Mioskowski in 1885 in Berlin, WI. They were supposed to reside in Berlin, WI until 1895. Julia married Wm Oscar Gibbs in Appleton in 1891. Frank Bernart was an asst deputy warden at WI State Prison in Waupun during the 1920's.His wife was Frances. In Julias marriage certificate, she is listed as Julia Burnett and parents as John and Annie Burnett. I have been unable to find any census listing tying this family together, nor verification of the surname.
