Hi Jan Was excited to get your mail and I looked up eveything I could find on Jonatham Carley - there were more than one in VT - One did marry Polly Greene Also found Jonathan CARLY married to Desire b 1794 none of the others were born that yearm however So the one you are talking about must be the ones - Unfortunately all I have in my records are the names - no dates I do not know where I obtained that nemes for her parents, ubforetunately. Polly was born, according to the census in 1836 - I believe Charles Parker was the same age - he died in early 1860. They wer arried in July of 1855. In the 1860 census she is listed under James R. Parker in Manchester Wusconsin and wife Sally with the name Polly Parker. There is also a male parker but I cannot read the name - He would not have been hers son as they were not married that long so I do not know who he was. Also, I might add that some relatives of mine (Parker's) went to Manchester three or four years ago and spoke with the people who live in the house where James R. Parker lived, and showed them the deed - one of the owners was Polly Ann COOLEY (I have not seen this paper in person - but this is what they wrote to me) (In 1867 James R. Parker and Sally moved to Minnesota to be near the two Wilcox girls who were Sally's children by her first husband - from that point on I know nothing about Polly)= I assume she probably remarried.) Write to me at dawei39@yahoo.com and we can discuss this more - I do see that the names are similar - Jonathan and Desire Carley and Jonathan and Desire Cooley so the possibility is there.
