Hi Leon. Naturalized Christy Mother Dec 1831 68 14 born 7 living Ole is living with Family #156...one page away from Golick. I found Golick in the 1880 census with his family as follows: (note the spelling discrepancy) Wisconsin, Green, Jordan, ED 139 (Page 2) Ellenson, Gulac 52 farmer NOR NOR NOR Chrestine 52 Keeping house NOR NOR NOR Ellaf 18 NOR Ole 13 NOR Gulac 10 WI Cereline 9 WI Albert 7 WI Ole and his family are on Page 10. I also found them in the 1870 census with his family as follows: Wisconsin, Green, Jordan Page 7 Ellingson, Golick 43 Farm Labor PP Value $100 NOR Christina 34 Norway Joran 18 NOR Ellen 16 NOR Edward 12 NOR Ole 5 NOR Golick 7/12 (Oct) WI Ole and his family are on Page 5 I do believe you are on the right path regarding a relationship. Families tended to settle in clusters so it was NO accident that these two Ellingson men decided to live so close to one another. Keep digging. You're getting there!
