Thanks for the info. It is very likely that this is the same "Julia".
The information on the death certificate was provided by Mrs. Thomas Tollifson, who would have been married to Julia's younger brother Tom, who was living in Monroe. I found Tom in the 1880 census living with his dad, but there was no Julia listed in the household. From the information you provided it would appear that she was already married to Elling Ellingson and living in Kansas.
