EXCELLENT detective work on Julia!!! I knew there had to be an explanation for the age discrepancy.

It is entirely possible that Julia, at 16 years of age, did head out for Kansas with Elling. Hopefully, you will find a marriage record for them which will confirm your suspicions.

And yes...the search goes on...and on...and on...
