Hi Kate,
Someone has posted a pretty good Domini tree on Ancestry. There are LOTS of relatives out there. Adolph's parents were Mathias and Susan, both born Germany, came to US in 1871. Unfortunately, the contact information is hard to come by. You may be able to dig around and find something more.

As for Howe... it gets a little complicated.
There is a tree on Ancestry, but, the info on the tree and the 1900 census is a little off.

1900 Wi, Dane, Black Earth
George Howe, 28, b. May 1872, Wi, Ger, Nor,
Mary, (also known as Nellie and Millie) 30, b. Nov 1869, Wi,par.b. Eng, mar.10yrs, has had 4 children/ 4 living.
*1-(step-dau)Zepha, 12, b.Feb 1888, Wi, Wi, Wi
2.-Ralph, 7, Feb 1893 (d.1969 Madison, Wi. 2 wives, many children)
3.-Clifford, 4, Apr 1896 (also d. 1969 Madison, mar.Leta Beckwith, 4 children (at least 3 girls).
4.-Bernice, 1, Feb 1899 (not much info available, poss mar. Eldon Steele, 1 child (dau)

marriage record from Wi pre 1907 index
27 Jun 1890 - Dane Co- George Howe to Mary Jackson

so.... George Howe may not be Zepha's biological father.
Can't find any birth entry for Zepha (with any last name)

Might be worth a phone call to the library in Black Earth,
there is always someone to help with genealogy inquiries.

Hope this will help get you started, remember to write down the sources of your information so you don't get misled along the way.
