Hi Dawn,
On 1860 census, Wi Portage Co, Amherst (where Samuel gives his age as 48 instead of about 51)... on the line just up from his family, there is a
Edward Wright, 46, b. NY
Amanda, 46, NY
Phoebe, 15, IL
Emily, 11, IL
Ida, 8, IL
Ruben Orcutt, 26, b.NY
Martha, 19, PA
Edward, 11 mo. Wi

by 1870 the family was in Iowa and seemed to stay there.
went back to 1850 IL... Edward seemed to have all girls, which make it REALLY hard to track.
Edward Wright, 36,NY
Amanda, 36, NY
Cordelia, 11, b. Pa
Elener?, 10,PA
Martha, 8, PA
Phebe, 6, IL
Emily, 1,IL

1840 Only shows head of household, so only going by co-incidence
Tioga Co, Pa. (Samuel there in 1850)
1840 Pa, Tioga Co, Jackson
Edward Wright and wife one daughter
also in Jackson
Samuel D. Wright and wife, one daughter plus one old man 80-90

any other Wright families in Tioga Co 1840
Asahel
J.N.
Mercy
Washington

by 1850 there are WAY too many Wright families in Tioga Co.
Most are from NY.

shot in the dark.. went to 1830 Pa for Wright... in Adams Co. Menallen township
John Wright Sr. age 70-80 and wife 70-80
also in Menallen
John, Nathan, 2 Samuels, Thomas, William

good luck with your puzzle. If you haven't already, try to find the church family attended (everyone went to church) in Adams Co (Menallen), and Tioga Co.

Judy
