Thank you very much. This is a possible lead. The violin I have was my Grandmother's. It is over 100 years old, hand made by a Samuel Perkins. She come from the same area as listed in the info you have from the 1870 census. My Grandmother: Olava (Olive) Olson born 1884 in Bloomingdale,WI. Parents: Bernt Olson and Maria Jane Larsen. Bernt Olson or Olsen was related to Ole Westby...comes from the Biri area of Norway...so did Nels Larsen (Maria Jane Larsen's father)..Thanks again Jane Feldt
