Patrick McMullen, his wife Ellen (McGirl) and family moved from New York to Milwaukee in 1948/49. The oldest son, Joseph F. attended ??? and was admitted into the bar in Milwaukee in 1862. The next John C graduated from Lawrence and enlisted in the 1st reg. infantry in 1861. John became a Colonel. He was wounded twice. There were a total of seven children. The family left Wisconsin as the kids grew up and the war ended. Patrick moved in 1877/8 to Winfield, Kansas to be with his sons at the age of 95. Described as an "Old Irish Gentlemen" Patrick died on July 3, 1880 at age 97. In 1860 Census they lived in Holland Township, Sheboygan Co. I would appreciate any information about the family, its history, etc. Thank you.
