Thank you this information, it is very helpful.

Since I did the posting I have found information that indicates Kari VOLDEN [b. abt 1832] may have used the name Kari KNUDSEN at the time of her death from a notation in a page I copied from the Bad Axe Lutheran Church.

Her husband Knute [b. 5 Mar 1826] used the name JOHNSON in the 1880 census so this may be the name at the time of his death. From my notes he died before 1894.

Unfortunately, I did not realize this when I had the ELCA film or I would have searched for Kari KNUDSEN and Knute JOHNSON/KNUDSEN.

I appreciate your help.
