Hi, I have researched Johann Mathias Stark's ancestors (with the help of Herta Frank). Johann's father was Johann Martin Stark, a small farmer in Oberheumödern, Bavaria living in house nr. 4. His wife's name was Anna the daughter of the honorable Johann Büttner, a small farmer in Holzingen.
Before their marriage, Johann and Anna gave public notice (Marriage Banns) of their intent to be married three times in Wettelsheim, on Pentecost Monday, on Trinity Sunday (the Sunday after Pentecost) and on the first Sunday after Trinity Sunday. The couple was married in Wettelsheim Tuesday the 9th of June with all honors. Tuesday was the wedding day only for honorable couples. Only honorable weddings were accompanied by the ringing of church bells, organ music, a sermon, singing chorals, a meal at the inn with dance music. Couples that had a child prior to marriage would not be able to have such a festive wedding; they would have a modest ceremony on Friday. If you need more let me know.
