I am trying to find some information on a person that is supposed to be buried in Hills Prairie Cemetery in Hillsboro. I am looking for the persons REAL name. She seemed to have been known by several names. Her maiden name was BETTS. She was married first to Fred Southwick then to Earl Mitchell. We know that she went be the nickname of Dollie and that is how she is listed in the 1910 & 1920 census. But in the 1880 census when she was still with her parents she is referred to as MARY C. BETTS. In the the 1900 census she is referred to as CELIA SOUTHWICK. My best guess is that her real name was MARY CELIA and that Dollie was just a nick name that she went by. So I was hoping to find someone that could check her headstone at Hills Prairie Cemetery and see what is on it. And also see if there is an obituary available for her. She was born 04-15-1874 and died 01-11-1943. At the time of her death her last name would have been Mitchell and that is what should be on her headstone. Names that have come up in conversation are Dalia and Arcelia. Dalia is where Dollie could have gotten started and Arcelia is where Celia could have come from. So you see there is a lot of confusion on what her real name was and I could really use some help straightening this out.
Thanks,
Mary Case
