Where is Jesse Smith?

I have hit a brick wall and hope someone can help me. I am looking for Jesse Smith. He was son of Samuel Smith & Leahvina VanClief. He was born Feb 1829, in Ohio. He was married to Adelia Hagerman. They divorced, and she moved to Nebraska. Jesse was living in LaFarge with sister Angeline Hook on the 1900 census. (he was 71 years old) I do not find him on the 1910 census, so I assume he died. However, Vernon county does not have a death record for him. Does anyone know where and when he died and where he is buried? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
