Your local public library can get microfilm of censuses for you on Interlibrary Loan, but fees for that vary.
If you know someone with a subscription to Ancestry, you can probably see the census. You can also sign up for a trial membership, but that's tricky. It's easy to sign up, but you have to give a credit-card number, and they do not let you stop the membership easily. You have to get through by phone during their business hours.
