The death notice of old Mr. Heron will be found in another column. Mr. Heron was quite an old resident of this place, and had won the respect and esteem of our citizens by his honorable dealings and quiet, unobtrusive manners. His last sickness was tedious and painful, and all that loving hearts and willing hands could do, could not relieve his sufferings. The funeral took place last Saturday.
DIED
At his residence in Omro, Thursday, Feb. 24, 1876, Mr. John E. Heron, of heart disease, aged 71 years, 7 months and 14 days.
Fare thee well, though woe is blending
With tones of earthly loss;
Triumph high, and joy unending
Wall thee in the realms above.
