Omro Weekly Journal Jan. 31, 1878 p. 3 Mrs. J. S. Johnson's Death Through some oversight, we failed to mention the death of the wife of Mr. John S. Johnson, and as there are some facts connected with her life which should not go unnoticed, we make this tardy mention of them. Mrs. Johnson was the first white woman in the town of Omro. The family came here from little Green Lake on the 15th day of March 1846. At that time the town was a part of Butte des Morts. On the 2d day of June of the same year--1846--Mrs. Johnson gave birth to a boy, the first white child born in the town. Mrs. Johnson resided in the town from that time until her death, which occurred on the 15th of last December, at the age of 55 years. Notify Administrator about this message?
