Cindy,
My 3g-grandfather was Pleasant WILCOX b ca 1791 VA d ca 1860-70 in Wayne Co or Mercer Co MO, m Frances Fannie ADAMS d/o James Adams and Elizabeth Hatcher.I have tracked them from Christian Co KY, where they married ca 1819-21 in Christian Co. By ca 1843 they are in Wayne Co MO with their family. In trying to locate siblings of Pleasant, I have gone off in 'all directions'.When I find data and 'put it altogether for others', I just cannot resist assisting people.
Grapevine Library has TexShare (a census-like program) and Heritage Quest that we can use and I can easily track people if given enough data.
Some of the TN lines came to TX (Collin Co, Hopkins, Wood etc).
I have Dorothy Wulfeck's book, which is a big help, as well as Hazel Spraker's book, which allows me to 'compare data' and then using the system at the library, track families.
I find about as much as I cannot find.
Feel free to email me at [email protected] and, who knows, we could end up cousins, but I do not think my line tied to that of John Willcockson and Sarah Boone.I have never seen any indication that Pleasant was related to anyone!I am beginning to think he was cloned......
